As I discussed in my previous post, the Willys Jeep Project has consumed my life for the past three years. It’s soaked up most of my free time, my money in new tools, and valuable garage workspace. Though I slowed down on the usual restoration projects, I still found time to complete a few things. Checkerboard Crock Lid
I needed a lid for this crock so it’d display a little better. The checker board is walnut (provided by a friend) and pine and the edges are chestnut. What isn’t pictured is the compartment underneath hallowed out which contains the checkers.
Cornhole Boards
Two sets of friends bought houses at the same time. As housewarming gifts, I made cornhole boards for each of them. The first picture below is a sample of one of each: Detroit Lions and Washington Nationals colors. The second picture, is the set I made for myself later; of course they had to be Willys-themed:
